Prezi desktop fails to load .pez file

I downloaded the .pez file of my prezi but I can't open the file in prezi desktop. Prezi desktop just says "opening" bit it never actually opens. The file is the size I expected (11.3 MB) so i don't think it is a partial download. I can try re-downloading it, although i have very limited internet access (which is why i wanted to try prezi desktop).

I am using the latest version of prezi desktop (3.080) and the latest version of adobe air. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get prezi desktop working?
