Prezi apps for iPhone
Hi Prezi, I wonder if in near future you guys will create iPhone apps to create Prezi presentation or perhaps to actually display it as container?

Sure, but if Prezi is making a lot of use of Flash, and the iPhone doesn't do Flash. . .
What I'd like instead is an iPhone app that helps me CONTROL my prezi while I present it from a laptop. Like the Logitech Touch Mouse app. But a Prezi-specific one, with left and right arrow keys and such.

Great idea. I think Prezi is a great mind mapping tool - tying together thoughts, and allows you to guid others through your thought process. So a mobile version would be far better than what is out there right now. But in the future is a difficult time frame, are we talking soon - months or longer?

The idea is great..and should not be that hard:
You have a way of compiling a Flash application into an executable/.app file. Why not giving the .ipa file as well?as far as I understood this is a possible feature in the latest Flash -

Being able to run a prezi (zoom, next, etc.) from my iphone would be so useful. If done right, I could do away with my laptop for presentations altogether!

Hi,
I have just stumbled on to Prezi. Very exciting stuff. I am wondering if your Iphone app will also run on the Ipad. I am getting one to end my need for lugging around my MacBook pro. Will that app also work on the Ipad or will there be a Ipad release sometime over the next year?
Thanks Karla -

It's fantastic to introduce Prezi to the iPad. It's a killer app to bring out the best of the device and the software!
-
-
Sounds fantastic - is there a timescale for an app on the iPhone?

-
Hm, it's now over a year ago and still no Prezi app for the iPhone. Shame....
-
Agreed.

I talked to Zoli Radnai a while ago and they are waiting to see if there will be deviced available in the future that support flash.

Only android 2.2 supports flash, and there are a lot of pre 2.2. phones / tablets out there. Also a dedicated interface would be easier to use on those small screens.

edgeworth.chow said : "Flash is buggy in android 2.2. That's why Apple refuse to use Flash for their mobile devices. "

I'm using prezi on a HTC Desire without problem -

After publishing the work-around on my blog on how to use Prezi on the iPad (http://martinmetzmacher.com/use-prezi...) my site has gone wild.
Dear Prezi: A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT THIS!!
Let's be honest here: We are already waiting too long. You need to get moving on this one asap!-
see at the next Post: It IS NOT possible!

I can understand why you can not support such an app for iPhone. Becaus Prezi is using flash, and Steve Jobs don't want flash. So Prezi can do nothing with this. Every Person who bought an IPhone know that no flash works.
Their can be thounsend of People who wants this app. Prezi can not bring flash to iPhone.
It would be nicer if Prezi support those devices who can run with Flash:
- Android (< 2.x)
- Maemo / Meego
I've created a now Topic for not iPhone users, how are able to play Flash:

Matthias,
your comment is not entirely correct. Of course Prezi is programmed in flash right now - but the underlying idea is not something that absolutely REQUIRES flash. It could just as well be written in C.
There is also a flash tot javascript converter called smokescreen (http://smokescreen.us) which might (in the far future) be a solution - however I am not convinced this will work for something as complex as Prezi.
However we have to conclude that not having Prezi on the iPad is a choice, that has been made by the Prezi team. What I find most disturbing is that Zoli actually said that they WILL do so (scroll up) and has not taken the time to comment on this thread further...
Just to give you guys an idea of how much people want this...I have attached a picture of my blog traffic (at http://martinmetzmacher.com). I have written just 1 article on how to use Prezi on the iPad (via a not very handy and really ugly way I might add) - and A LOT of people are looking for this...

PLEASE! I urge you to reconsider. What do we need to do to get you to make an iPad app? What do you need? Maybe we can contribute?
WE LOVE PREZI - PLEASE LET US CHOSE HOW TO LOVE IT!-
Oh I invited myself to be objective, but thanks Kristine

That their are so much posts for Prezi on iPad/iPod, means only that iPad/iPod users postet the same cause several times. The probability is very big, that many users voted for the same idea but on several post.
So, their are not less than 113 votes for, that Prezi changes their completly Programm building.
My suggestion to all 113 Persons is:
- Buy another Tablet PC, or Mobile Phone
- Don't supportet all ignorant business management
(I mean, Steve Jobs ignore thoundsends of people, which want Flash on iOS, and the Rest of the users could Steve furnish prima facie evidence that they don't realy want Flash because Flash wouldn't work on MobilePhones right. But my mobile Phone works realy great with Flash - How could it be?)
- Every One who still wants to use iPhone/iPad could use this smokescreen converter. (By the way: This tool would not exist, if their ist no iPhone/iPad Flash denier)
Prezi would never scare iPad/iPhone users away. So they say nothing or only maybe it could be work in the future.
I have the feeling, that iPhone/iPad users thought, that they have the best in his hands, and never get a notion that this thing is not perfekt and others work better, And they could not believe, that their is any app or programm in this world which schould not run first on iPhone/iPad.
I kwow that you Martin has another opinion to all i wrote. But thats my meaning. Somthing was a little bit exaggeration. So nobody should get this personally. -

In theory yes. However the iPad app is still a bit buggy sometimes and stuff like video does not work. I highly recommend only simple prezis and checking them before.

Thank you and giddyup on gettin' video in;-)

Has the Prezi team considered moving to html 5? I work on multiple platforms including ipad, android, windows and mac. Adobe seems to be adjusting their own views on flash, as the industry seems to be moving towards html5.
Regardless, of how it is done, having the ability to create prezi's on the ipad would seem to make the most sense. Prezi on the desktop is very natural with their interface. Providing the ability to use on a touchscreen OS such as iOS or Win8 would seem to make sense, and would make the creation of prezi's very natural. Any hope for mobile prezi creation? -

I'm wondering if there's a controlling function like "Keynote Remote" for Prezi to control my Prezi-Presentation through my iPhone?
-
-
Is there a way to display an iPad Prezi presentation with a projector?
-
-
-
-
Just make it host a live session from the Prezi servers and let the ipad or iphone control the presentation. What you would do is go to a web link for the specific presentation and that computer could be connected to the projector. After that you login to Prezi app and host the live session which would update and show up on computer. So much simpler to use than bluetooth and other wireless options such as ip input and ports.

Its a way to use a proyector with my iphone! then, i wanna use my iphone to display my prezis like a container.

Millions of people use iphones to view email, inlcuding most of the donors of my organization. I want to use prezi to send out a newsletter but I am reluctant because there is no way for them to view it. Can we expect an iphone app similar to the ipad one where it can redirect people to the app to open a prezi? That would be awesome... or an html 5 converter?
