I'd like to link to local files!
I'm creating a presentation that will contain a number of QuickTime movies. Instead of converting to flv and uploading, it would be swell to be able to link to the videos locally, and have them fire off automatically at certain points along the path!

Inappropriate?I'd really like this feature for offline presentations

Inappropriate?Thank you for your suggestion. While we can not promise anything specific, we regularly consider ideas, input from users.
Would you be interested in writing a little more about the context, situation where you would use this? What problems would that solve for you? -
I, too, make extensive use of video clips in my presentations. Converting, uploading, and steaming video or downloading the videos with the prezi .exe is ineffective and time-consuming. The last presentation I did was awkward b/c I had to continuously alt-tab out of prezi into my file folder to find and launch video clips. If you can do a URL in prezi, why not a path to a local file? Additionally, at least I will have some playback control if I am able to link to video files locally. This whole notion of creating a path to a video in a prezi and the video automatically launching is a HUGE downside. Often in a presentation, the speaker needs to "set-up" the clip before launching. I did experiment with placing a frame around the embedded video clip in prezi, which give me a time before in launches; however, with no rewind/pause, etc., I really can't use videos in prezi. By the way, after pouring over dozens of posts last night, there seems to be an enormous lag in the development cycle for this product. Nowadays, the market expects to see fairly mature Web 2.0 products, and usually they are free as well. This tool has massive potential (had a crowd the other day mesmerized), but the rudimentary, over-simplistic feature set is a big turn-off right now. -
Inappropriate? This would solve a couple of problems for me.
First of all, videos will play much more responsively if coming from the local hard drive and not streaming. If I can point my Prezi presentation to a video file locally, I can have that play instead of waiting for the media to stream.
Also, this would allow my Prezis to work in offline mode! if the videos live locally, it would be easy for my Prezi to work even if I'm not online! -
Inappropriate?Me Too! Count me in. I'm a former Keynote user and the ability to link to my existing resources on my hard drive would be just peachy keen!
