Hi,
I've just started with Prezi and am creating a literal map identifying how our service works. However, I want to be able to change things like arrow directions to show a change in the way follow of information.
I have used the Beta "fade in" tool extensively (I would love to see this automated so I don't need multiple button presses), but I would also like to see a fade out tool.
I might be able to get over the issue by re-drawing items to cover up item underneath then fade them in, but it would be a bit of a hash.
Answers of a post card please
Chris

Yeah, already thought of that, but this isn't going to be able to happen in this Prezi. The items I want to disappear intentionally straddle multiple backgrounds.
Any other suggestions? If not, please add the feature list :) -

Hey B,
Whilst I'm on the subject of feature requests then and still to do with animations, I would love to see some actions built into them, i.e. to run automatically on and even (such as the frame being displayed - or delayed by x second on the frame being displayed), or linked to the previous animation in the frame, so you could cascade animations without having to press the "next" button furiously.
Cheers,

I try to make things fade in an old prezi precentation and it will not work. No stars appears and so on.
Even tried to make new text and frames and they will not move to left bar when click on frame.
Does I have to make a totaly new precentation to make it possible to make a fade animation? -

Bump! Haven't seen this option yet and would love to have it!
I will almost say it's needed. If you made a "fade-in" effect, you have to make a "fade-out" effect too! -

Hi Lars Viktor Høvik,
you can fade in objects, frames and groups - there is no option to fade out yet built in to Prezi - however you could use an image the same colour as the background or object beneath to get this effect (fade out) http://prezi.com/learn/fade-animation/
hope this helps
cheers

On a similar note. I wish I could fade in a large number of grouped objects frames simultaneously. Once I group objects that expand beyond a small frame, I can no longer animate them as a group. Any way to work around this problem?

I agree - fade out feature is a must to go along with fade in. They should also have an optional trigger, either as part of path click, or as soon as focus enters/exits that frame. The effect Ive been trying to achieve for years with Prezi, unsuccessfully, is to "reveal" a large pattern/shape/image at the end of the show by zooming right out. The problem is, the pattern/shape/image is spoiled by all the text, and other content items all over it. I need these to be gone. I've used the "coverup" technique as a poor workaround.

Definitely a must have. I guess there has to be some technical issues about fade out effects? Otherwise it would already be avaliable.

Fading in group of objects works like charm. If your frame is smaller than the group, then make the frame bigger, animate the items and then make the frame smaller again :-)
But why fade out is still not available 7 months down the line is a mystery to me. fading in a cut out of the background picture on-top does not work well with 3D backgrounds at all! -

Please, Prezi. Make a fade out feature a top priority. I urge you to do this for similar reasons that Mike mentioned above. When I zoom out to reveal the larger pattern, there are some things that I don't want to be seen anymore.
We're aware that there are ways to produce this effect manually - but it gets virtually impossible when using photos or backgrounds that has many, complex colours.
Introducing this feature would make Prezi even more superior than the competition. -
