Is it now possible, either on web or desktop, to 'permanently' group (not group select) objects? It's a major problem if not.
Thanks

Agree - would like a way to bind selected items to the frame that's included in the selection. Seems this can be done once a selection is made in Place mode - if multiple items selected and one is a frame, bubble menu shows 'group' option. Once clicked, selecting any item in the group selectes the frame and all of it's grouped objects as a single object to move/rotate/scale. When a group is selected, the bubble menu item changes to 'ungroup' which will release the binding. (use an associate_to attribute for each object - thats filled with the id of the group frame when group is clicked and set to null when ungrouped.

Hi there, sorry for the late response. This idea sounds reasonable, I have added it to our pool of ideas. We usually consider user suggestions, but cannot promise to develop everything.

Grouping and ungrouping elements would be great; especially useful when moving several times large objects mixed with very small objects - it is difficult to Shift-select them, as zooming out and in is needed to get them all.

You can use Shift and the cursor allows a selection box to be drawn around several objects.
