Given up on Prezi. Anyone know of alternatives?
As a design agency, we finally gave up on Prezi today. There are a host of reasons (onerous subscription model, lack of control over our own work, failure of Prezi to actually understand what people are actually using the software for (commercial work for paying clients) but most of all, the inability to remove PREZI branding from client-based work even in paid for versions). Question is, anyone know of competing applications?

You are right, Prezi is not perfect for every purpose and use case someone can imagine. Hope you'll find your tool that fits to your agency needs. As a starting point you can search for something like this: http://www.google.com/search?q=online...

Ya, i am looking at ahead.com and i think its similar as well.... why dont someone come up and do an application [the likes of ppt] so we can buy the application and do it ourselves, easily..... -

True, AS3 is a bit of an uphill struggle, it's uncompromising. As is your agency I suspect.
We solve the issues raised by compromise: Prezi, with large amounts of small bits of Flash wrapped up in it.
If I remember correctly didn't Flash once advertise itself in the same way Prezi does now? I really hope that the Prezi team will feel able to develop a more discrete approach to their branding. -

1They've finally let us replace their bottom left hand logo with an image of our choosing in the paid version. And there's improvement in control over colors & fonts. -

1@Kevin Stephens - how about that control over fonts? I find (in the desktop version) a very limited number of fonts, about 10? Am I missing something? Because I really like the Prezi idea, but for now am giving up on really using it, just because of the lack of formatting possibilities... -
