frames appear on my prezi on its own all the time

I would need some more information to be able to help you.

When do the frames appear?

Is it happening while you are adding a path? There is a new bubble with a camera symbol "capture view" on the path menu that adds a frame from the view. Can you have hit that by mistake?

If not, have you maybe missed to change mode after you have added a frame?

thanks for replying so fast. it actually happens in the writing mode, when I do something completely different than applying frames or paths.
But now I reopened my prezi and I have the impression that it does not happen any more... hope it stays that way.
What should I do if it happens again?

Good that it doesn't seem to happen any more.

I haven't met this problem before so I can't really tell what you should do. But if it would happen again you can give us the url of the prezi and tell which frames you haven't added actively and we can have a look at it. It is useful for us if you try to notice exactly what you are doing when it happens.

I am getting the same problem! Rogue frames just start appearing all over my prezi - usually bottom right of screen. I am doing nothing out of the ordinary, and definitely nothing to do with frames. Just uploaded a video though which is not something I have done before - maybe related to this?

It happens when I'm in show mode, and I go to move my cursor to the bottom right of the screen to click play buttons.
I'm on a Mac, using firefox.

This is happening to me too. I'm on a Mac. In Safari. and the frames are appearing in the bottom left of my Prezi when I'm in Edit/Writing mode. Happens when I mouse across the canvas.

sorry for not replying so far. We have found out that this is caused if you release or just move the mouse outside of the canvas (the part of the screen where you can edit). We will fix this problem soon. Thanks for your patience.

Frames that I did not create keep appearing after editing my Prezi, then zooming out. The extra frames appear in the lower right corner when I zoom out.

This is also happening to me too. Every time I scroll off the canvas a frame appears in the middle of the right side of the canvas. Reopened my presentation and the problem seems to be gone.

I am having this problem with Prezi Desktop, I have 22 days left of my trial before upgrading to pro. I really like this platform and until this problem popped up I was certain to purchase... Please fix this.

Also having this problem with prezi desktop. A restart (of prezi) seems to solve the problem.

I was going along fine for ages online - but when I downloaded desktop it started. It's quite bad and always appears in the lower left. Though it happens all the time, saving always triggers it for me. It has even started happening in Show mode
Please please please fix this.

ok, this is just ridiculous; I'm sitting here looking at the screen, and frames are just popping up all by themselves in the lower right corner. I've been deleting frames all afternoon; what is going on????????????????

I used Prezi pretty extensively and found this problem quite often. I did find a workaround though and a cause of the Frames/Color differences.
Here are my findings:

Terms-
GRID: The farthest zoom level possible. This is the starting point when making a Prezi.
TILE: A single block space as seen at Grid level.
FRAME: A frame used as a container of text and images. They create a border that can use different styles or are transparent.

Problem:
A frame within the Prezi show will randomly show spikes, blocks, slashes and other graphical errors. Also, the graphic errors may or may not be of a different color. At times you may not get any graphic errors, but the background color may be slightly different than other frames in the presentation.

Cause:
Images from nearby text or pictures on the grid within 2-4 "tiles" away are clashing. Other cause is if you have a background image and place a frame on it with other images/text on top of it. In this instance the background image may "bleed-through" into the frame causing tears or different background color.

Workaround:
Move the frame that is affected to a further area from nearby frames on the grid. If this is not possible because it will take away from the effect you're trying to achieve, make the affected frame smaller to increase the visible distance on the grid from nearby frames affecting the frame experiencing the problem. You can further increase "distance" by making surrounding frames smaller as well.
I have also seen where distancing the frame doesn't fix the issue or only partly fixes it. In this case, you'll need to rotate the affected frame on a different angle. Yes, it may take away from a desired effect, but when you zoom in on your frame, it auto-centres it anyway, so it's not too big a deal.
Rotating the frame usually fixes graphical errors, but not always background discoloration/hue errors.

One more thing. Once you get rid of the frames causing problems, SAVE the presentation. The frames will come back if you do further work, so if possible, do all you need to do, THEN fix the frame issues you have. The issue comes back randomly if you make further changes. You won't know which frames are affected, so have a look at every frame once you're all done. And yes, fixing one frame may break another. It's a long process, so that's why you fix it after you're all done.

I am having issues with my prezi, it keeps adding frames out of the blue!!?! Please help no consistency to where or when it adds them? Have i done something?

I get the extra frames when I start adding a path. When I've finished the path I have so many frames in my prezi that I have problems working on it. I can hardly see the objects because of the jungle of frames. WHAT IS THIS?! I'm working on my desk top version and I have a pro account. And I've paid 159 dollars. Please fix this. And it doesn't help me to get a complicated description of how to get rid of them from some other user. I'm not good enough with computers to solve the problem that way. The staff should fix the problem and stop the extra frames from coming.

If you click on Capture View (in the path bubble menu) an invisible frame (invisible in "Show mode" not in "Edit mode") is added and a path step is set to it. But there is no need to use Capture View in order to make a path step, you should be in Path mode, and then click on the items you want to zoom into.
