Frames and text not in centre of screen
When in presentation mode and following the indicated path, Prezi does not show the entire frames and text, but the upperpart of the frame is missing, e.g. not the entire circle is visible. Did I do something wrong, or what can be done to have the respective frames in the centre of the screen?

Inappropriate?Hi F,
can you please share the Prezi URL?
what browser / OS are you on? -
Inappropriate?I found the firefox displays everything off centre. Open the same thing in IE and mine was centred.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Andy,
this shouldn't happen.
which versions are you using? and extensions that change the way pages look? -
Inappropriate?I was using the latest Firefox on XP with the White look and feel... but that was yesterday and having just checked it in Firefox it seems to be OK today. Obviously atmospheric conditions. It was a bit cloudy here yesterday.

Inappropriate?I realised that when I closed and then re-opened the presentation, everything was centred again, but when I then continue working on it, adding new content, things after a while again were not centred. So now when I want things to be centred, I just close and re-open the presentation and everything is fine again - that's my "solution" to this problem ;-)
I’m confident

Inappropriate?P.S.: I'm also using Firefox on XP.

Inappropriate?Hi F.,
do you think you could share a screenshot with us? -
Inappropriate?Hi Adam, I am facing a similar problem with the Desktop edition. Please see the attached screenshot.
I’m amused

Inappropriate?Basically some of the text etc is not centred on screen, i have tried removing paths and readding them again.

Inappropriate?Hi
thanks for reporting
and does this problem stay even after you restart the editor? -
Inappropriate?Hello,

Tks a lot

Inappropriate?I have the same issue. I can't resize the stuff within the frames so it all appears correctly on the screen. Please tell me there is something I can do about this. It is very annoying and I was intending to use Prezi for a very important presentation on Tuesday. I am using the desktop editor software.
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
investigating the issue... what I found so far as a workaround:
- export the finished prezi and use the standalone player to play back
- go to full screen before opening the prezi in the desktop - shortcut for that is 0 (zero)

Inappropriate?Nick,
We discovered that the desktop editor is much less polished than the online one. Our prezi is huge, so huge that the framerate drops down to the single digits. However the online viewer has better performance than the desktop editor, doesnt have as much of a problem centering, and is quicker in response in general.
That said, I think it has something to do with display aspect ratio and resolution. So far the small screens Ive been working on have been far less problematic than large 24" 1920x1280 resolution screens. Since overhead projectors typically don't go beyond 1024x768 at this stage, I think our major presentation (on monday, eek!) will work just fine. I hope that'll be the case for you.
I hope it helps. -
Hi Exxcept,
this is - as far as I can tell - a performance issue, your computer needs to work much much less while rendering on a 1024x786 screen, compared to a HD screen.
however, I did many prezis on HD, so here are some hint, maybe they are of help:
hardware
- lots of memory really helps. and its cheap
prezi tech
- downloaded prezi on windows is fastest, followed by mac and linux last. i didn'T experience the desktop slowness, in theory the editor there is identical to the online one. but the point here is to download. (standalone player)
- flash filter shadows can slow things down extremely. so can 100 pages of PDF text. however, for the rest, I never really had performance issue even with huge prezis.
hope this helps

Inappropriate?I have the same problem using IE 8 on Windows XP. I've tried several ways to frame two separate text "fields" together. The frame is on the path and when I show the Prezi, it shows the body text but not the entire Head.
