tagging/labels like gmail would work as would a folder style system like windows/hotmail. just some way to organize the clutter since everything seems to go in the "root drive" right now. i'm hoping to use prezi instead of powerpoint for my lesson plans as a teacher. i'm just worried about organizing dozens/hundreds of prezi's between the different classes will be a nightmare, espescially if i forget the name of one.

hi,
good idea! do you have any specific idea about how to solve this? like in gdocs? or tagging?

i'm using prezi since almost a year now and as you can imagine i created a lot of presentations. some are permanent, others are just drafts for later use, others are specific for one client and so on. it would really be helpful to be able to sort these presentations in a folder structure!
and - very important - not just online but especially in the desktop version. i would very much appreciate a solution for this!
thank you

This is something I was just going to ask for! I, too am a teacher and am starting to collect, generate and try lots of new Prezis. If there was a folder system like in Google Docs where presentations can be filed, hidden, etc. that would be really helpful.
Thanks for the great post and the consideration from the team!

I agree. As an educator this is a great tool to get kids to pay attention in class, but it is currently unwieldy to browse through 20+ prezis

Yes please, me too! Some way of grouping my now hundreds of Prezis so that I can easily find them. You can do it Prezi coding geniuses!

Good idea. "The company has this under consideration".
When will this be available to organize all my presentations. -

Dear Prezi Team,
Can we get some feedback??? Over a year has passed...
I still desperately need this function (either the user folder or the tagging).
thx -

Agree, where is the love????? Prezi people, give us an indication of whether you're working on this please.

It makes me a little sad that there hasn't even been a comment by the Prezi team about this... there are a lot of people who love to use this program and I worry that some competitor will show up soon with better features (looking at you, Google!)

hello Prezi
this is a great service you offer to educators. As a teacher I use Prezi for lessons, presentations, posting notes etc to my website. My students also enjoy using it for their work.
A suggestion for organizing prezis in my prezi account:
it would be very useful to be able to group my prezis by class/ course in the "Your Prezis" section. Instead of having to search through all of my prezis it would be handy to be able to go to my Grade Ten History 'folder" or my grade 12 law 'file' to find the appropriate presentation for the days lessons.
Thanks for listening
Jason Cogley

A list view showing the filename, size, private or public would be useful in the "your prezi" section in addition to the current thumbnail version.
Failing that... being able to quickly search Private / public files ( dropdown in the search bar)
This already exists about folders.

Thanks

I second the folders/tags. Plus there should be a way to search both among prezis as well as within prezi's. Otherwise there is a risk, that prezi is only for the occasional user, and defeats usability as one scales-up.
-
You are right, but unfortunately nothing has happened for two years now... Not even a reply from the Prezi team... :(

frustrating because from a non-programmers point of view, this seems like a very easy fix.

Jumping on this topic as the suggestion would help me a lot. Up to a dozen prezis, with many more to come.
-
-
Okay...three years, dozens of great changes to Prezi and yet this (seemingly) simple request is still getting nowhere. If not folders then why not tags and have a "sort" feature based on the tags?
Please!!! -
-
I agree. With a large number of Prezis, getting to the one I want is becoming very cumbersome. It would be good to hear from the Prezi team.
-
-
I've given up on Prezi because I can't organize them. I teach 9 different classes and can't find things quickly enough as is. I've defaulted back to ppt/notebook because I can easily save them to folders on my computer.
-
-
same here, too hard and no action for 3 years. Time to look for better solutions. Very disappointing
-
-
Sorting into folders would be fantastic! Tags would be cool too. Any idea when you plan to implement this online? I knowI can download them.
-
-
I'd be happy if the "sort order" were static. I specifically named my Prezis so they would show up in the order I use them- **IF** I can ALWAYS sort my Prezis by name. I'd like to make that my default instead of last opened. Surely this can't be THAT hard to do.... all it needs is a setting in my profile for "default sort option"...

Hey, come on, help us to ORGINIZE content in the prezi. I teach 6 different clases in different semmester any the things are getting pretty messy! Give us the forders or at least tags or something, or else I will cancel my subscription, I mean it!

John,
please solve the problem and/or answer my posts onece I write them. I already complained about the problem couple of months ago with NO ANSWER and NO SOLUTION. ... So dont be surprised, when frustrated user tries to post the same issue in multilple ways, just to get your attention. ... So, now, when I got your attention, ANSWER please, when and how you will solve THE PROBLEM.

Hi Antonin Pavlicek.
all I can do at this stage is add your request to the user request list which we maintain (which I have done) - I am not allowed to divulge Prezis future features but I can tell you that our developers are hard at work trying to improve the product all the time.
cheers

This seems pretty easy to solve...and would be a big help
-
-
If I have a "Prezi-upgrades-what-I-really-want" list, then this would be the very first!!! : -)
-
-
As a teacher it's becoming incredibly cumbersome to navigate through all of my Prezis without some sort of folder system. Surely this cannot be that difficult an issue to resolve, and it is clearly in demand. You've got some very disappointed customers, Prezi.

Fully agree!
