Inappropriate?Hi Telmo
which license do you have? -
Inappropriate? The type of account is Enjoy
-
Inappropriate?I have the same problem and I use the free license. The problem started when I was changed from trial to free because I had reached the level of 3 presentations. Now I have a presentation siiting there and I can't upload it onto the Internet :-(

Inappropriate?Run from a terminal I get this error:
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
It fails let me login and the cancel button is greyed out. I am on 64-bit Linux (Ubuntu 9.04) with the flash 10r22 plugin for 64-bit Linux.
Note: I followed the instructions on the adobe KB site to get Adobe Air installed on 64-bit ubuntu: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/408/kb408084... -
Inappropriate?Hi,
as you now, running 32bit AIR on 64bit Linux is still untested, and to be honest, we didn't tried Prezi on 64bit Linux.
Also Ubuntu 9.04 is not a stable release, and it looks like there is a gtk2 bug on it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+so...
The lib AIR tries to access is a 64bit version. Do you have the 32bit version under /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0? If yes, first you could try setting GTK_PATH to /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0. If this doesn't work, try to install lib32nss-mdns, because it's missing from Jaunty by default: sudo apt-get install lib32nss-mdns

Inappropriate?Hi spacecadet, thank you for your reply.
I need to use 64-bit Linux for my work, as I need full access to all available memory (4GB). Despite bugs (which OS does not have them?) Jaunty is a major release and part of the most popular distribution of Linux. Also, 64-bit is not uncommonly used by those people running Linux. So, if there is an intent to support Linux for Prezi, then it should not be surprising to have someone ask for 64-bit support.
In principle AIR should work fine on 64-bit Linux (see the link I posted). There, as you also mention, it is adviced to install lib32nss-mdns, which I have done.
Prezi loads up fine, the only problem is that I can not seem to log in. My online created account does not work for some reason. I do not know if this has to do with the canberra-gtk error, or not.
Thank you for continuing to support Prezi on the linux desktop. I look forward for you supporting 64-bit Linux too. -
Inappropriate?Don't get me wrong, i totally did not wanted to blame the OS you are using. Despite it's unstable i think it still has less bugs than other ones.
Also it's not surprising to get questions about 64bit support, it's only our fault, that we didn't tested it.
The site mentions libnss but not the plugin lib32nss-mdns which is required for some name resolutions. Did you tried any of the workarounds I mentioned?
Btw, what happens when you try to log in? Do you get any response? -
Inappropriate?I have lib32nss-mdns installed. During login it tells me invalid login. I can not close / cancel the login dialog box. The username / password is the same I use on the Prezi site.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Ok. I guess you have the newest version, right? What's the version you see in the about dialog?
Can you please also check if there is any network activity when you try logging in?
Did you tried maybe your account on different OS?
Sorry for the questions, I'm just trying to narrow down the problem.
Thanks -
Inappropriate? Please send me the email you registered to peter dot nemeth at prezi dot com. I'll check if your account is alright. Meanwhile I try to install Ubuntu.

Inappropriate?Hi again,
i managed to successfully run PreziDesktop on Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit.
After following the instructions on the adobe page you provided i also got the same error message like you. The workaround was, as i mentioned: 'export GTK_PATH=/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0'. But can easily ignore the error, because it hasn't got any effect on PreziDesktop.
Besides this I had another error message, but this actually broke the application's functionality:
libgnome-keyring.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The fix (you already installed getlibs)
sudo getlibs -l libgnome-keyring.so
sudo getlibs -l libgnome-keyring.so.0.1.1
And this should provide you a working desktop version. :)
So when I receive you account information, I will check that too.
Peter

Inappropriate?Hey thanks for the help and good to know it should work on 64-bit linux with these steps. The login situation has not changed, so I guess it has something to do with my account then.
-
Inappropriate? So it looks like that you have a Public account. I'm sorry, but you can only use Prezi Desktop with a Pro account.
At least from now it's officially supported on 64-bit Linux. Thanks for you help in this! -
Inappropriate? With a new account I could log in! There is still some issues though. I had to install a few more libraries with getlibs to be able to upload files to Prezi Desktop (I don't have the info iwith me on which ones). At that point I could select and upload images, but not movies (which is something that I would need). The file selection window has a dropdown menu with movies/videos, but when I go into a folder containing them I can not select any avi, mov, etc movies.
-
Inappropriate?Good to hear! We only support flv files at this time. In the future there will be hopefully a video conversion utility on the server side, which will allow uploading any kind of video, but only in the online version.
-
Inappropriate?Flash movies work!
I still get these errors even though I used getlibs to install the required 32-bit libraries:
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
/usr/lib/gio/modules/libgioremote-volume-monitor.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

/usr/lib/gio/modules/libgvfsdbus.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

These errors occurred when inserting a file from disk -
Inappropriate?Well this sucks, I did a bunch of work on a big presentation on my desktop prezi and now I am unable to login and synchronize via the web plus when I look at the prezi it is a blank screen.
This happened after installing seesmic 0.50 which runs on AIR.
Now I am upgrading to 1.52 of AIR and all I get is a blank gray screen!!! Nothing happens!
I have tried to login and no luck, attached a screen shot.
I am paying you $$ to put up with this?!
I’m frustrated
