Can't download image files in Prezi editor
Hello,
You have been redirected to this page because you had issues downloading an image file in your Prezi. This is most likely caused by a known Adobe loader bug in connection with large PNG files. Of course you can use PNG image format in Prezi, this issue only comes when using very large files. In this case we suggest to convert your image file to JPG format, the loader can handle big JPG files as well.
If you think you experienced a different issue, please explain here, and we'll do our best to help.

Inappropriate? My Prezi directed me to this page. I did not use any png, only gif, jpg and flv. It said error code 28. Any ideas?
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?I remade the files and didn't seem to have this problem again. (now just exporting stuff...but I put that in another forum) Thanks
-
Inappropriate?Dear Janette,
I'm glad your problem solved that way. Is everything okay since? -
Inappropriate?Hi Zoli,
Well...I learned about prezi. It just seemed that once I hit a certain file size, exporting from desktop and uploading to the site just did not work anymore. When my total file usage was at about 350 or so I could no longer export from the desktop or upload to the site. So I stopped remaking the file at that point and started over again, and ran into the same thing. I ran into the same problem when I tried to make it all online. Eventually it just stopped working.
One thing I did learn in the process was that I kept getting a corrupted zip from the desktop version when I tried to open it with Archive Utility or StuffIt Expander. What I had to do was install the most recent version of StuffIt Expander and then the zip file worked.
Ultimately I presented from my desktop editor, and then went back to my high rez movies and just put them into iDVD and burned that. I told my audience that apparently my ideas were larger than my computer's processing speed and that this would enable better viewing of the movies anyway.
For the most part though, I will continue to use prezi in my classroom. It creates a great schema for literature analysis. And it sparked a number of discussions with colleagues for how they can use it in the classroom. I am looking forward to seeing how the writing tool improves so I can use it with my students on the interactive whiteboard to notetake on the schema during our discussion (the last time I used it the writing tool just couldn't keep up). And would like to be able to use more visible colors (higher contrast) for my students with different visual needs.
I think this is a great tool and I am looking forward to seeing how it continues to evolve.
Thanks,
Janette -
Inappropriate?I'm using .gif, .jpg and .png most of which are not large.... using Google Chrome as a browser...
Most of the time, it just does nothing!
I’m trying to finish within the hour!

Inappropriate? The funny thing is, that I can see everything on my computer, also in viewing mode, but as soon as I zwitch to another computer the error occurs. My image is 2880 pixels wide, but less that 500k in size. I need transparency and in the necessary quality is only given by png.
Why don't you support vector-formats? This would fit much better to the scaling features.
I'm using firefox on ubuntu.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Dear Janette,
Thanks explaining your experiences with Prezi. I have forwarded this to our dev team, and will get back to you once they have comments on this embarrassing file case. Good you could finally manage to open the zip file that way. This means that the file was actually ok. It would also be great to have your thoughts on the educational use of Prezi. We are currently working on a license for schools and edu institutes. Please drop me an email to radnaizoltan-at-gmail-dot-com! -
Inappropriate?Dear Mike,
is your another computer slower?
this can cause the problem

Inappropriate?Dear Mike,
Prezi actually supports vector formats. You can upload pdf files using the online editor. The offline editor however doesn't support pdf uploads. A workaround for this is to upload online then download and edit further offline. -
Inappropriate?Besides PDF files Prezi also supports SWF files. And these works in the desktop version too.
-
Inappropriate?thanks a lot for your replys
Some of the machines i tryed it with may have been slower. But it must work with all machines.
The thing with the pdfs is that i can't get them working with transparent background. :( -
Inappropriate?I've been using Prezi to work on an important presentation that I have coming up later this week. The offline editor was running so slowly on my laptop as to be unusable, so I switched to my partner's computer to finish the editing, with the intention of playing it back on my own laptop when I travel to NYC.
But now I've found that as I try to open my prezi from the exported file, it fails to load all of the images in the presentation (reason 243 is given). I suspect that it's because my computer doesn't have enough RAM... I watch the memory fill up on the activity monitor and as soon as it maxes out, the error message displays.
This is incredibly frustrating: I'll be traveling across the US to make this presentation and need to be able to run it off of my laptop as my partner's computer needs to stay in California. I'll have access to another computer in the presentation room, but no idea if it will have enough power to be able to handle the Prezi.
It also boggles my mind that two gigabytes of RAM would not be enough to run this presentation. If I had found any sort of system requirements in the Prezi documentation that suggested how resource intensive it was, I would have prepared my presentation in other software. I love Prezi's style and ease of interface, but if it can't run on my machine, it's useless to me.
As of now, I don't have enough time to completely redo my presentation before my upcoming interview. I have a great presentation trapped in an unplayable file. I am stymied.

Inappropriate?Dear hungerf9,
I can only help you if you share the exported zip file somehow, or you upload it the whole presentation to Prezi.com
Is it possible?
peter -
Inappropriate? Can you help us? Please create a minimal prezi with one flv and one swf. Export the Prezi and check whether the problem is the same.
Please send us the exported zip file anyhow if you can.

Inappropriate? This seems to be a problem with ram, when i opened up one Prezi file, it would load just fine, when i open a second one I get this error. However, when i open that second file by itself it works fine. I can't open this on my 2006 Macbook without the error, instead i have to use a 3.6 ghz 1 GB RAM PC.
I ended up having to use powerpoint for half my presentation, as i already had to split up my prezi into 5 files so it wouldnt freeze. This program is a nightmare if you have an important presentation to make. They have much work to do before this can be considered stable and as usable as they intend. I had to redo my presentation at least twice.
A word of caution, the idea is great, but this is hardly software past its beta stage.
I’m half-dead from stress

Inappropriate?i have the same problem as jason: 95% of the time trying to load an image just does nothing at all. (these are small jpg and png images, 5kB - 30kB).
:(
I’m very annoyed
-
Inappropriate?Same as graham above. load pictures using the online editor - .jpgs and .gifs don't show and the navigation gets erratic. my students like the tool, but it sucks up a lot of my time to get it to work right.

Inappropriate?I download JPG images just fine and then all of a sudden, I can no longer download them (in the same prezi). The prezi then starts "acting funny": when I click on any point on the path, I get a flash of an image and then the screen turns to brown. I started another prezi of the same presentation thinking that somehow my first one was corrupted for some reason and I encountered the same problem. Now I have two unusable files. How do I fix this? I'm working with the pro account.
-
Inappropriate?Hi, we are aware of an issue regarding file uploads in Prezi that cause error by the first attempt of uploading. All you have to do is to try again. If the image file is acceptable for prezi (2280x2280 pixels and 50 Megabytes is the file size limit) you should be able to upload the file.
